Your mother says this should be a magical time. The thought leadership seems divided between “investors would be correct to avoid you” and “your pre-revenue startup should benchmark its maternity benefits against Sweden’s.” Your husband and your clients seem aligned in polite, nervous concern. Your OB brightly suggests avoiding stress. And somehow before Tuesday, you need to launch this new module, approve those expense reports, and also figure out if the Keekaroo Peanut is worth $180. The CEO is pregnant; you are the CEO.
Host Caitlyn Driehorst leads RightWise Wealth and is expecting her first child in December. Join her for a real-talk conversation with two CEOs who have done this before (and apparently survived):
Christy Johnson is the CEO and founder of Artemis Connection, a boutique strategy consulting firm with more than 100 freelance consultants. Prior to founding Artemis Connection, Christy worked for McKinsey & Co, as a freelance consultant and as a high school teacher. Christy holds a BA from Western Washington University, a Masters in Education from Stanford University, and an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. Christy has a fourteen-year-old daughter and ten-year-old twin sons; she founded Artemis while on maternity leave with her then-preemie twins and toddler daughter.
Tara English is the CEO and founder of Givers Health, a platform for healthcare providers to train, support and pay family caregivers. Prior to founding Givers Health, Tara worked for Kaiser Permanente's technology team and in boutique management consulting. Tara holds a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Her three children are four years, two years and two months old, and all three were born while she was building Givers Health.
Expect tactics, honest, reassurance and commiseration across pregnancy, maternity leave, fourth trimester and beyond. We welcome those currently expecting, recently expecting and expecting to expect.
Please plan on attending the live session to benefit from this content. Due to its personal nature, a recording will not be shared afterwards.
NB: Pregnancy status is sensitive for many women. Our webinar platform does not display names or faces for those who join; your name and email are known only to organizers and not shared. Questions can be submitted anonymously.
